The optical system uses coated optical-grade PC and acrylic elements and a two-zone autofocus system (0.40 m–1.3 m; 1.0 m–∞) to increase hit-rate for sharper images across typical shooting distances. Exposure is managed by a custom step-motor shutter and a six-position aperture array (approx. f/11–f/64), enabling finer control over scene brightness and depth of field — particularly useful when composing in daylight or backlit conditions. The camera adds an improved light-meter and a human-friendly flash system for low-light fills.
