IBUYPOWER Y60 Gaming PC looks big, almost like a fish tank. It's called the Y60. It takes up a lot of space, measuring 18.2 x 17.95 x 11.2 inches. But if you like showing off what's inside your PC, you'll like the Y60 because it has three glass panels on the left and front. You can see inside without anything blocking your view.
You open the case by removing a side panel, which is held in place by one screw on the back. We found it a bit tricky to remove the glass panel at first, but once we got the hang of it, it was easy.
The amount of heat and noise the PC makes depends on what's inside, but we noticed our review unit got pretty hot during long gaming sessions. However, it wasn't very loud, which is good for those who don't usually wear headphones.
The iBuyPower Y60 makes the room hotter, but it is quieter than the Aurora R13 when playing the same games. If heat and noise are a problem for you, there are things you can do to help, like adding more cooling or moving the PC to a different room.
IBUYPOWER Y60 Gaming PC: Ports and upgradability
The iBuyPower Y60 comes with a spacious case and lots of ports for all your needs. On the front, there are USB ports, an audio/mic jack, and a power button. On the back, you'll find more USB ports, audio jacks, an Ethernet port, and even ports for keyboards and mice.
If you want to open the case and make changes yourself, it's pretty easy. Just unscrew the safety screw on the back to remove one of the side panels. At first, we had trouble removing the glass panel, but with a firm pull, it came off without any damage. Inside, there's plenty of space to work with and access to the GPU.

Our iBuyPower Y60 review unit had no problems running games like Apex Legends, Cyberpunk 2077, and Death Stranding smoothly at 1080p resolution with over 60 frames per second. However, when we tried playing games in 4K resolution, the Intel Core i7-12700KF CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU, and 16GB of RAM struggled a bit. Most demanding games we tested fluctuated between 30-60 frames per second at higher resolution. We tested it with the Acer Predator XB323QK, a top-notch 32-inch 4K gaming monitor.
If you want to play the latest games in 4K at a steady 60 frames per second, you can upgrade to a Y60 with better hardware. But as it is, our review unit doesn't handle games at 4K very well.
To compare our iBuyPower Y60 review unit with other gaming PCs, we ran benchmark tests on popular games. Keep in mind that the performance depends on the components you choose. For instance, the Alienware Aurora R13 we reviewed performed slightly better in every game because it has a better GPU and more RAM, though it costs more. On the other hand, the iBuyPower system outperformed a cheaper PC like the Acer Predator Orion 3000, which is good for 1080p gaming but not as powerful as our Y60 review unit.
IBUYPOWER Y60 Gaming PC: Software
Our iBuyPower Y60 review unit came without unnecessary software. Apart from the usual Windows 11 stuff like Disney+, the only notable pre-installed software is Aorus, which helps control the RGB lighting on the Nvidia GPU that comes with it. Aorus is straightforward and user-friendly, offering plenty of options to customize the lighting on your Gigabyte GPU.
IBUYPOWER Y60 Gaming PC: Keyboard and Mouse
Our iBuyPower Y60 review unit came with a gaming keyboard and mouse from iBuyPower. They have colorful RGB lighting but are neither exceptional nor terrible. The keyboard feels strong, the keys are responsive, and we like the volume knob on the top-right corner.
However, we are not a fan of iBuyPower moving the Windows key to the bottom right corner and replacing it with their logo. It's annoying if you're used to hitting the Windows key with your left hand.
The mouse is also durable and functional, but it doesn't have any standout features. It has the usual buttons and a scroll wheel, plus a couple of extra buttons for convenience. While it might not be perfect for complex gaming, it's good enough for most games.

Final Thoughts
The iBuyPower Y60 is a cool gaming PC if you want something that looks great and runs games smoothly while showing off its insides. It's a bit heavy to move, but once it's on your desk, it's easy to work with and set up because of its well-spaced ports and easy-to-use design.
With the right parts, it can be a powerful gaming PC. Our review unit is set up to handle games really well, especially if you don't need the most demanding games to run perfectly in 4K resolution. If you want even better performance, you'll have to spend more money.
If you like the price and power of the iBuyPower Y60 but want something smaller, the iBuyPower Revolt 3 is a good option. However, it's harder to upgrade and doesn't have the same clear view into the PC's insides during long gaming sessions.
