Fujifilm Instax Wide Evo Hybrid Instant Film Camera

The instax WIDE EVO is Fujifilm’s first WIDE-format hybrid instant camera and smartphone printer: a single device that functions as a digital camera, a review/editable instant-film printer, and a Bluetooth printer for smartphones. It combines digital capture and a suite of creative modes with the tactile output of INSTAX WIDE film (3″×5″ style instant prints).

Key Feature:

• Image sensor & resolution: 1/3-inch CMOS sensor; up to 16 megapixel capture when Wide-Angle mode is used and images are saved to microSD (4608 × 3456). Standard internal saves are lower resolution unless recorded to microSD.

• Optics: Fixed 16 mm (≈ wide-angle) f/2.4 lens (widest lens in an Instax to date for expansive framing). Includes a dedicated Wide Angle Mode to maximize field of view for group shots and landscapes.

• Printing: Native support for INSTAX WIDE film (physical print size ~86 × 108 mm); the camera prints analog images after preview/editing. Prints keep the distinctive instant-film aesthetic while allowing pre-print digital edits.

• Creative controls: Multiple film styles, 10 lens effects + 10 film effects, and a Degree Control dial for fine adjustment of effect strength — mix-and-match creative pipelines before printing.

• Exposure & capture range: Electronic shutter (approx 1/8000 to 1/4 sec in auto switching), Program AE with exposure compensation (±2.0 EV in 1/3 EV steps), and ISO range approximately 100–1600 (auto switching). TTL metering and face detection AF are supported.

• Storage & connectivity: Internal memory plus microSD/microSDHC slot for full-resolution saves; Bluetooth for smartphone printing and remote control via the INSTAX app; USB-C for charging and firmware updates.

• Power & throughput: Rechargeable internal lithium-ion battery designed for extended use — manufacturer and reviews report battery life sized for tens to ~100 prints per full charge depending on usage and print frequency. (Practical throughput varies with print and capture workflow.)
