Used August Wi-Fi Smart Lock 4th Generation

Upgrade a compatible door with the Used August Wi-Fi Smart Lock 4th Generation. This compact smart lock installs on the inside of the door over a supported single-cylinder deadbolt, allowing the existing exterior lock and physical keys to remain in use.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows the lock to connect directly to a compatible wireless network without requiring a separate August Connect bridge. Through the August mobile app, users can remotely lock or unlock the door, check its status, review activity and manage access for family members, guests or trusted visitors.

The Auto-Lock feature can secure the door automatically after it closes or after a selected period. Auto-Unlock uses supported phone location features to unlock the door as an authorised user approaches, providing convenient keyless entry.

When installed with the compatible DoorSense sensor, the system can indicate whether the door is open, closed, locked or unlocked. Smart alerts can also provide supported notifications when the door’s status changes or when someone enters or leaves.

The August Wi-Fi Smart Lock supports compatible Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit or Siri integrations, allowing users to control or check the lock through supported voice-assistant devices. Certain commands and remote functions may require identity verification and an active internet connection.

The lock is powered by two CR123 batteries. August states that battery life can reach up to approximately three months under supported conditions, although actual performance for a used unit will depend on battery quality, Wi-Fi signal strength, settings and previous usage.

As this is a used smart lock, it may show cosmetic signs of previous installation and use, including light scratches, marks or surface wear. The lock should be factory-reset and removed from any previous owner’s account before setup.

The lock is not generally compatible with mortise locks, double-cylinder deadbolts, single-sided deadbolts or every low-profile lock design. Door and deadbolt compatibility should be checked carefully before ordering.
