The Charge 6 features continuous optical heart-rate monitoring and can record heart-rate information more frequently during exercise. It tracks steps, distance, calories burned, Active Zone Minutes and supported workouts, helping users better understand their daily movement and fitness progress.

Built-in GPS and GLONASS allow compatible outdoor activities, such as walking, running and cycling, to be recorded without relying entirely on a connected phone. After a supported outdoor workout, route, pace and heart-rate-zone information can be reviewed through the compatible Google Health app.

Advanced wellness features include sensors compatible with the ECG and EDA Scan applications. The ECG app can provide supported heart-rhythm assessments, while the EDA Scan app can help users understand their body’s response to stress. Feature availability depends on the user’s location, age, connected phone and software version.

The tracker can monitor sleep duration, sleep stages and other overnight wellness information. It also includes sensors for estimated blood-oxygen saturation and skin-temperature variation, although these features are intended for general wellness purposes and may not be available in every country.

An integrated NFC sensor supports compatible contactless-payment features where available. The Charge 6 can also connect to selected exercise machines to display real-time heart-rate information during supported workouts.

Fitbit Charge 6 offers battery life of up to seven days under supported conditions. Actual battery runtime on a used tracker may be shorter depending on previous usage, battery condition, GPS activity, display settings and enabled health features.

The device is rated for water resistance to 50 metres and designed to comply with 5 ATM protection standards. However, water resistance is not permanent and can decrease due to age, wear, damage or previous repairs.
