Eufy offers a range of robotic devices designed to perform cleaning and mopping actions inside home. Available in hands-on and hands free styles these robotic cleaners are equipped with latest technology and are easy to operate without any specific physical or mental capabilities. Of its X and L series, here we have reviewed two of them that are popular in the UAE market.

RoboVac X8 Hybrid Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Eufy generally delivers robotic vacuum cleaners that are affordable and perform cleaning tasks fairly well. Among a range of Eufy’s robovacs the X8 model is a clear favorite in the UAE market. It comes with mopping capacity, ability to reach out into no-go zones and perform room-specific cleaning actions.

Twin-turbine technology inside X8 Hybrid offers greater suction power and more airflow to stir up dust move it into its dust box. Once inside, all that trash is filled tightly to maximize space that helps avoid repeated cleaning and emptying sessions. The Eufy X8 Hybrid is praised as a magnet for pet hair that is otherwise hard to pick from carpeting and floors.

The top of X8 Hybrid is marked with a pair of gold and black lines that angle in toward the silver Eufy logo in the center. On the backside you’ll find a combo of rubber and bristle roller brush in the center, surrounded by two rubberized wheels on either side. The finer and softer bristles of the roller brush tend to draw more carpet fuzz and bits of dust.

Vacuuming Performance

Watching the RoboVac X8 Hybrid in action is almost fascinating. The bot drafts the area to be cleaned, then, like a kid thoroughly coloring, moves back and forth in an S-shaped pattern, filling in the space it just described. However, it may miss small sections of dirt spread across the carpet.

When it comes to picking pet fur, Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid performs better on wooden floors than on carpet. As far picking litter, this cleaning robot cleans up 90% of it beating its sibling, the Eufy G30 Edge.

X8 Hybrid is outstanding on carpet when collecting pet fur picking up almost 89.5% and here it narrowly beats the Roborock S4 Max’s 88% pickup rate and crushing the other competition, aside from the Neato D4, which cleared away 95%.

Mopping Performance

Unlike a stand-alone mopping robot, the RoboVac X8 Hybrid vacuums and mops at the same time and that is really time saving. Eufy RoboVac X8 comes with a large translucent mat that’s meant to be attached to your floor where you dock the robot.

Mopping with RoboVac X8 is easy. Wet slightly the cleaning pad with tap water, attach it to the tank, fill up the small tank with water, and snap it into place on the underside of the bot and you are good to go.

Unlike the Roborock S7 or the Proscenic m6 Pro, where you adjust the amount of water the robot releases, here you will not find mopping specific options within the EufyHome app. Not even a mop only mode. The only option is for the RoboVac X8 Hybrid to vacuum and mop at the same time.

Robovac L35 Hybrid+ Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

L35 Hybrid+ is the latest two-in-one cleaning equipment from Eufy. It’s a high end gadget now available in the UAE. L35 has two variants – L35 Hybrid and L35 Hybrid+ both designed to vacuum and mop at the same time. The regular L35 Hybrid comes with a regular charging base whereas L35 Hybrid+ has an auto-emptying base. The latter has an anti-microbial disposable bag to store dust and hold it up for around 60 days. Once the bag is full the app will show you a reminder for replacement. This is really a cool feature on this cleaning piece.

When we compare L35 Hybrid+ with the above mentioned Eufy X8 Hybrid we find some similarities like: laser navigation, abilities to map, vacuum clean, mop, app control and related preferences. Both vacuum cleaners are supported by Amazon Alexa, Google assistant and a dedicated Eufy clean app. The app allows you to set no-go-zones or no-mop-zones areas in your house. When you plan to clean carpets or rugs then make sure you have removed the Mopping Module and set up no-mop zone otherwise the device might get stuck easily.

Vacuuming Performance

When it comes to difference the X8 Hybrid has greater suction power (4,000 pa vs 3,200 pa) and more water capacity in the tank (0.25 L vs 0.2 L) compared to Eufy’s L35 Hybrid+ vacuum cleaner. Though its suction power is little less than that of X8 Hybrid but its performance is pretty great picking up pet hair, dirt and dust around the house be it is in carpets or on hard floor. It when detects a change of surface from hard surface to carpet automatically increases the suction power for efficient cleaning. L35 Hybrid+ vacuum cleaner supports multi-floor cleaning and is configured to save three maps once the Multi-Map Save feature is on.

In L35 Hybrid+ you can adjust water flow to increase the water output in certain areas when required, but keep in mind you have to make this adjustment manually in the app. You can switch between 3 water flow levels when cleaning different floor types.

This is a battery rechargeable device and when fully charged has a maximum run time of 145 minutes like the L35 Hybrid base model. It takes up to around four hours to fully charge when the battery is on low status. Light turns solid blue when charging is fully done.
