Performance

The Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD offers sequential read/write speeds up to 7,450/6,900 MB/s, reaching near the max performance of PCIe® 4.0. It also provides 40% and 55% faster random read/write speeds than the 980 PRO 2TB, up to 1,400K/1,550K IOPS, while 4TB even higher random read speed of up to 1,600K IOPS.

The sequential and random write performance was measured with Intelligent Turbo Write technology being activated. Intelligent Turbo Write operates only within a specific data transfer size.
